ORLANDO, Florida (Ivanhoe Newswire) – How are you feeling today? When your answer is tired, you are not alone. In fact, 42% of Americans say they feel tired by noon. 74 percent of these people say this affects their daily routines and productivity. The foods you eat could be your solution.
What’s your favorite snack?
It turns out that putting junk food up could enliven your life. Bananas can be one of the best foods for energy. They’re full of complex carbohydrates, potassium, and B-six vitamins, all of which boost energy levels.
Hard-boiled eggs fill you up and recharge your batteries. Breaking down some proteins as well as leucine, an amino acid that stimulates energy production. Apples are a high antioxidant full of fiber.
“So having fiber will keep you full longer,” Megan Case, a nutritionist, told Ivanhoe.
Go ahead and soak in some hummus.
“Chickpeas are legumes. So they’re a complex carbohydrate and a great source of protein and fiber, ”said Case.

An orange not only provides more than 100% of the recommended daily dose of vitamin C – everything C provides compounds that protect against oxidative stress. It is this type of stress that makes you so tired. And go ahead and pop some corn. One cup is high in carbohydrates and fiber and low in calories.
If you’re snapping up a candy bar, make sure you go for dark chocolate. It has a higher cocoa content than milk chocolate. Cocoa increases blood flow throughout the body and helps supply oxygen to the brain to wake you up.
Another thing, say nutritionists, the most common mistake people make when it comes to increasing their energy levels is not drinking enough water. Dehydration is the main culprit when it comes to feeling sluggish.
