Hibbing, MN (KROC-AM News) – Hibbing police report that one of the three-year-old twins found trapped in a hot vehicle on Monday has died.
The boy was flown to Minneapolis Children’s Hospital in critical condition after he and his twin brother failed to respond in the vehicle. The other twin was released from a Duluth hospital.
A press release issued Tuesday by the Hibbing Police Department showed officials reacted on a property late Monday afternoon after receiving a report that the twin boys were missing. Neighbors and police started a search, and a citizen found the boys about an hour and a half later. A police officer from Hibbing blew up a window to remove them from the hot interior of the vehicle.
When they reported the death of one of the children today, Hibbing Police said the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office now has the investigation reports into the incident and is reviewing them to investigate possible charges against the father.
