A former McDonald’s employee has claimed there’s a scientific reason your coke tastes better at the fast-food chain – leaving many shocked.
There’s a reason McDonald’s has such delicious food — and now we know what it is.
A person who claimed to be a former fast-food restaurant employee revealed that some of McDonald’s dishes are backed by science and other juicy secrets.
The person, whose online name is @evilglitterqueen and whose name is Ryan, said she learned “so much” working at one of the world’s largest fast food chains.
“You think they’re just fast food and shit, but they’ve got so much science behind them [everything]’ they said in a video shared on TikTok.
“For example, your straw at McDonald’s is bigger.
“Do you know why it’s bigger?
“Because that puts more carbonic acid on the tongue and makes the lemonade taste better,” he revealed.
“That’s why it’s better at McDonald’s.”
Ryan also claimed McDonald’s paid for Coke to make a syrup just for them.
“That’s why their coke has a little more sugar and a lot more flavor,” the former employee noted.
Moving on to the actual food, Ryan claimed that “the restaurant’s grilled chicken is injected with a saltwater mixture to keep it moist but also flavorful.”
Additionally, Ryan claimed that the Chicken McNuggets aren’t very processed, as many might expect.
Finally, TikToker claimed that McDonald’s ice machines – notorious for often being out of order – are only cleaned once a week.
Ryan’s followers were seemingly wide-eyed and shocked by his revelations, and several said they now understand why McDonald’s Sprite is “hot”.
“Makes sense why the sprite just beats differently now,” added another.
“Have you made me feel better about giving my kids nuggets? ….. Yes,” wrote one mother.
“The ice machine is always broken,” joked another viewer.
McDonald’s was contacted for comment.
