Out of the various talents, which one was the most fun to work with?
Each talent selected brought a specific energy and flavor that created a holistic and dynamic overall event. We told all the talents involved on the day of the event that it was their show. We wanted the names of the creative talents and the amazing work they do to stand out in the minds of the invited guests and the Singapore Tourism Board. I am so grateful to Plus Collaboratives for allowing me to be part of their team for this event. We worked closely together from the idea to the implementation of the event. The level of thoughtful rigor we applied to this event was amazing. It was definitely a career milestone for me to be involved in a national campaign event of this magnitude. It was definitely fun working with Mr Has from Rawjak and Chef Drew Nocente from Salted & Hung. I knew them both during my time at W Singapore, back when Mr Has was music director for W Hotels Asia Pacific and chef Drew Nocente was chef at SKIRT. It felt like a mini reunion of sorts. I think being able to work with friends is a real sign that that friendship is built on solid trust and respect.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE DURING THE CAMPAIGN?
I will never forget the look of sheer joy and wonder on the faces of the invited guests as the curtain fell to reveal all the talent. Guests were so excited to connect with all of them. It was such a joy to see what we had planned on paper manifested right before our eyes. It confirmed months of planning.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Creatives who build and support their peers are amazing – this generosity to empower and build a vibrant creative ecosystem. The scene is too small to work in silos. Something I’ve learned from my close circle of friends is to always be generous – it doesn’t cost you anything.
I think as creatives it’s definitely important to support each other. This support does not necessarily have to be converted into monetary value. I’ve always believed that if I wasn’t the best for a particular project, I would recommend someone I know would do a better job.
YOU HAVE A LOT OF COOL F&B CUSTOMERS. IS THIS A PASSION OF YOURS? IF YES, WHAT ARE YOUR OWN FAVORITE PLACES TO EAT AND DRINK?
