No mask requirement, COVID vaccine requirement

CHEYENNE, Wyoming (AP) – Wyoming governor says the state will not revert to a statewide mask order or require COVID-19 vaccines despite a virus resurgence.

Governor Mark Gordon issued a nationwide mask mandate in December and lifted it in March. Even so, Gordon said in a press conference Monday that mandates can lead some people to resist wearing masks.

Gordon also says he doesn’t expect closings like the public health orders that have forced many Wyoming businesses and public places to close or limit occupancy for much of 2020 through 2021.

COVID-19 infections have returned to levels not seen in Wyoming since January.
