Simply Red’s 1991 classic “Stars” was the best-selling album in the UK and Europe for two years in a row. They had two US Billboard chart toppers with the classic singles Holding Back The Years and If You Don’t Know Me By Now.

Venue Programmer Peter Taylor said, “We are delighted to welcome Simply Red again to the Scarborough Open Air Theater.
“Mick Hucknall is a music legend and he and his band sound just as relevant and fresh today as they did when Simply Red first entered the public eye almost 40 years ago.
“We have had so many requests for you to return, so we are happy to accommodate you and let you know that you will be back at this special place next summer.”
Simply Red is joining a number of headliners at Scarborough OAT in 2022 that include Lionel Richie, Lewis Capaldi, Bryan Adams, Crowded House and Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
