Opinion: If I ran Mitsubishi… I’d bring back the icons

The 1980s and 1990s arguably represent the peak of the Japanese car industry, as far as enthusiasts are concerned. This era saw the start, revival or reinvention of a host of iconic nameplates – GT-R, Impreza WRX, Supra, NSX, MR2, MX-5 and RX-7 – plus a host of upstart luxury brands designed to take on the German established.
